A man was struck and killed by a truck Thursday night on Abilene street.

The victim, identified as 32-year-old Zachery Joseph Melton of Abilene, was pronounced dead at the scene near the 400 block of Sayles Blvd at 6:55 p.m.

In a police report, Melton was wearing dark-colored clothing while walking on Sayles Boulevard when a northbound brown 1986 Chevrolet struck him.
