On Thursday, August 23, 2012 The Department of Public Safety troopers responded to a report of an accident at 11:41 p.m. The executive director of the Midland Odessa Transportation Organization, Tim Dolan died in a car wreck.

The accident occurred while Dolan was driving his Chrysler Pacifica north of Highway 36. The vehicle hit a concrete culvert which caused it to roll over and the car caught on fire. According to Sgt. Steven Stanfield the authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident; however, they have reason to believe speeding was a factor. An autopsy has been ordered for Dolan from Tarrant County. Tim Dolan was 54 at the time of the car wreck.

In addition to his wife, Dolan is survived by his four children, ages 16 to 22
