A 13-vehicle chain reaction crash on Interstate 35 near Bruceville-Eddy on Monday left one man dead and injured 17 people.

The accident happened at around 12:30 p.m. under the Old Blevins Road overpass when an 18-wheeler crested a hill and ran over an Acura, crushing it.

The Acura was stopped in traffic on the northbound interstate. Its driver, Stephen Fu, 24, of Dallas, was found dead in the wreckage.

Authorities said a total of nine passenger vehicles and four 18-wheelers were involved in the chain reaction crash, which injured a total of 17 people.
