A west Texas man died in a single-engine plane crash in Anadarko, OK on Tuesday.

Robert Glasscock, 62, of Lubbock, was operating a Piper PA-28 Tuesday afternoon flying to Anadarko from Crosbyton Municipal Airport in Texas, about 60 miles east of Lubbock, when the plane went down near the Anadarko airport.

The plane caught fire on impact, said Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford.

The FAA and the National Transportation Board are investigating the crash.
