Two pedestrians were hurt when they were struck by a vehicle Monday night on Fox Avenue in Lewisville.

The incident occurred at about 6:45 p.m. on the road near Edmonds Lane.

Police said 24-year-old Lai Thawng and 36-year-old Sang Hrin were not using a crosswalk and crossed the road when they were hit by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes.

Twang and Hrin were taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital and are listed in fair condition Tuesday.

Police believe the two may have been intoxicated at the time of the accident.

The driver, Rodriguez, 36, remained at the accident scene until officers arrived.

No charges are expected.
