A man died and his teenage daughter was seriously injured following a motorcycle accident on U.S. 67 near Stephenville Sunday night.

The fatal accident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, about three miles south of Stephenville.

Miguel Angel Licea, 37, of Comanche, was riding a 2005 Yamaha with his 15-year-old daughter, Heather Licea, heading south on U.S. 67 when they slammed into an eastbound 1996 Chevrolet pickup. The motorcycle hit the driver side of the truck, the Texas Department of Public Safety reported.

Miguel was pronounced dead on the scene.

Heather was transported to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth in serious condition Sunday evening. She was listed Monday in critical condition, a spokeswoman from the hospital said.
