An afternoon motorcycle accident in Sabine Parish, LA, left a Texan lady dead on Friday when her 2011 Harley Davidson crashed into a car making a turn ahead of her.

Louisiana State Police reported that around 2:15 p.m., 46-year-old Michelle Jenkins Mendenhall of Hemphill, Texas, was heading east on her motorcycle when 57-year-old Denise Rozas Billodeaux of Many, was trying to make a left turn on Hwy. 6 near Toledo Town.

Billodeaux turned her Toyota Avalon straight into Mendenhall’s motorcycle route, which caused the deadly collision.

Mendenhall was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a helmet.

Billodeaux had her seatbelt fastened and was uninjured in the crash.

Due to the abrupt turn that resulted to the accident, Billodeaux was charged with improper turning.

Toxicology tests are pending.

Investigation is still on-going.
