Two men were pronounced dead at the scene of a one-vehicle crash in Gray County early Thursday morning.

Texas Department of Public Safety officials said at about 5:45 a.m., a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse was travelling east on U.S. Highway 60 four miles west of Pampa. The rainy condition caused the vehicle to hydroplane, flip on its passenger side and skid into a power pole, crushing the top of the car.

The two victims, identified as 28-year-old Marshall Lee Echevarria III and passenger 42-year-old Gary Dee Wallace, were pronounced dead at 7 a.m.

Both men were wearing their seat belts.
