A single-vehicle crash killed one teenager and injured three others in Howe Friday afternoon.

A car driven by John Wesley McDonough, a 19-year-old senior at Howe High School, flipped over on Bennett Road east of Howe at around 4:30 p.m.

McDonough was driving north when he left the road causing the car to roll. He instantly died in the crash.

His passengers, 16-year-old Nicholas Caro and 15-year-old Aiden Shaw-Brown of Sherman were flown to a Dallas area hospital while 18-year-old William Shaw of Sherman was rushed to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Friends say the group were in a band together.  It appeared the car was speeding when the crash occurred, troopers said.

The Texas DPS troopers are investigating the deadly wreck.
