Two people were killed and several others injured after a three-vehicle accident in southeast Dallas on Monday.

The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. on the intersection of Military Parkway and Jim Miller Road.

A Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Leodegario Hernandez Juarez, 34, of Irving, ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into two other cars. After impact, one of the cars was wrapped around a metal utility pole.

James Carr, 49, and Lashun Russell, 43, both from Dallas, died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Other victims were treated at Baylor Medical Center and Children’s Medical Center Dallas. An eight-year-old girl was critically injured.

Juarez is charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault.
