One person was struck and killed when he ran into oncoming traffic early Saturday in Bexar County.
Converse resident Eric Quentin Payne Jr., 28, ran into the side of a car in the 700 block of Northwest Loop 410, between Blanco Road and San Pedro Avenue.
The driver tried to avoid hitting Payne and took the first exit to circle back to the scene.
The accident happened at about 5 a.m. and the driver called 911.
The Bexar County medical examiner’s office pronounced Payne dead at the scene.
The driver will not face charges, police said.
