Authorities need help in identifying a hit-and-run driver who left the scene of an accident on April 29th.

A 45-year-old male victim was crossing the street near the 200 block of N. York St. at around 9 p.m. when a car hit him. The unidentified driver failed to stop and render aid. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he is treated for severe head and body injuries and remains in critical condition.

Detectives described the vehicle as a dark-colored, possible 2005 model car, with tinted windows. It bears Texas license plates, numbered either ZXL247B or ZXL242B. It was noted that the vehicle suffered major windshield damage, with unknown body damage.

The suspect driver is described as a bald black male, approximately 35-40 years old and was wearing a white t-shirt at the time of the crime.
