Debra Marquez Hefner Dies In Hutchinson County Crash

A woman died in a two-vehicle roll-over crash in Hutchinson County early Saturday.

The Department of Public Safety troopers said that at approximately 2:10 a.m., Debra Marquez Hefner, 57, of Fritch, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado heading west on State Highway 136 when an eastbound 2006 Chevrolet pickup crossed the westbound lanes.  The pickup collided head-on with Hefner’s truck, causing both vehicles to roll over.

Hefner died at the scene. She was wearing a seat belt.

Noah Houston Moore, 21, of Stinnett, was taken to Northwest Texas Hospital in critical condition with internal injuries as of Saturday night. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Authorities will determine if speed or alcohol were a factor to the accident.
