A three-car crash just outside of Greenville Wednesday left one man dead and another injured.

The fatal wreck happened at around 5:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 380, just west of the city limits.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo driven by Cynthia Elmore, 48, of Princeton, crossed the lanes of traffic and crashed into a 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Diane Hodges of Farmersville.

A 2000 Chevrolet Silverado then slammed into Hodges’ pickup, ejecting Elmore from her vehicle.

Elmore was pronounced dead on the scene.

Hodges was rushed to Medical Center Plano where she was listed in stable condition.

The Silverado’s driver was not injured.
