Authorities have identified the driver of the overloaded truck that crashed in South Texas Sunday night, killing 15 people.
According to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman Greg Palmore, another man who was involved in the pickup truck crash has died Tuesday. The fatal wreck killed 14 others, including two juveniles.
The truck was heading to Houston carrying 23 alleged illegal immigrants when their Ford F-3250 veered off the highway and hit trees.
The truck was driven by 22-year-old Ricardo Mendoza-Pineda, from Mexico, says Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Gerald Bryant. It is not known where the driver was from in Mexico and what his immigration status was.
The Mexican Consulate in San Antonio, however, confirmed Monday that one of its citizens, a 22-year-old man from Tamaulipas state on the border with South Texas, was killed in the crash.
