A woman was killed Saturday night in a two-vehicle crash in Fort Worth and a county worker faces intoxication manslaughter charge.

The fatal wreck happened at about 6:15 p.m in the 5900 block of Sandshell Drive.

Amy Anders, 23, was pulling out of a parking lot of a movie theater north of Santa Fe Lane when a pickup truck driven by Alan Michael McKinney, 29, slammed into her car.

Anders died at the scene. A 21-year-old male passenger in her vehicle was taken to a hospital in critical condition after being extricated from the wreckage.

McKinney, an employee of the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, was charged with intoxication manslaughter with bond set at $12,000. He was reportedly suspended from his job.

Anders was studying to be a nurse and was going to graduate in one year. She worked at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth as a tech.

Fort Worth police are investigating the deadly accident.
